"Simple As Love" (Lyrics)
Rivers run wild like a spider vein
Old as time steady as a train
Just like the only thing that’ll ease the pain
Is the look at the sight of you

Like a monarch to a mimosa tree
Your love abides so naturally
Bringing out the best in me
Like it’s lived here all along

Simple as a cotton dress
Patient as the moon never in contest
Just like a heart beats in a chest
It knows what it needs to survive
Love, Love, Love Simple as love
Love, Love, Love simple as your love

Like a junkie’s got it’s itch
It leaves you wantin’ more, wantin all of it
Just like a lily in a ditch
It grows where it wants to grow

Simple as a cotton dress
Patient as the moon never in contest
Just like a heart beats in a chest
It knows what it needs to survive
Love, Love, Love Simple as love
Love, Love, Love simple as love
Love, Love, Love, Simple as Love

Love, Love, Love, Simple as Your Love

With four critically-acclaimed albums under her belt, Kelsey Waldon has forged a strong presence in the Country and Americana scene. Her uncut lyricism and natural country sensibility recall her upbringing in Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky. After moving to Nashville, she cultivated a loyal following through frequent touring across the U.S. and two critically acclaimed albums. Her persistence paid off when, on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, John Prine invited Kelsey to join his Oh Boy Records family. In 2019, Kelsey released White Noise / White Lines on Prine's Oh Boy Records. An unflinching work that details Waldon's life, hopes, and pains, the album earned her a nomination for the Emerging Act of the Year Award at the 2020 Americana Awards.
