I tried to drown it in dark water
I tried to burn it with fire
I’ve always been a runner
I’ve never been a hider

I got all i can carry
I would walk for miles, miles, miles
Just to find my sanctuary
Won’t be for a while while while

My old refuge in the thunder
Don’t feel like home any longer
I search for the boughs of a shelter
Oh, til these tired feet falter

I got all i can carry
I would walk for miles, miles, miles
Just to find my sanctuary
Won’t be for a while while while

My sanctuary
My crystalline
Save me in perfect time
My sanctuary
My fortify
Running into the light

I got all i can carry
I would walk for miles, miles, miles
Just to find my sanctuary
Won’t be for a while while while

My sanctuary
My crystalline
Save me in perfect time
My sanctuary
My fortify
Running into the light
