Erin Enderlin – If I’m Not In Hell (Teaser)

Pre-save now for release on 8/20 – “If I’m Not In Hell” is the kind of song Erin Enderlin is known for. The track captures the pain and anguish that comes with the complex web of consequences from losing the one you love. Dripping with fiddle and pedal steel guitar, the song mines the vein of classic country heartache reminiscent of genre giants such as Patty Loveless and Alan Jackson. The emotion of the song is raw and captures a moment in time, without a nice, wrapped-in-a-bow, things-get-better ending – it’s intended to connect with listeners in a way that tells them they aren’t alone if they are in such a moment.

Lyrics:
Breakfast table, two fingers whiskey
I’ve never felt this empty in the middle of the day
Sign in the front yard says it’s all for sale
And if I’m not in hell I’m headed that way

Everything reminds me of the one thing that’s missing
From your cup in the kitchen to these bills I can’t pay
Friends say it gets better and I know they mean well, but
If I’m not in hell I’m headed that way

Oh, It’s drowning in lonely and burns with regret
But it ain’t full of fire like that preacher man said
No it’s cold and empty as your side of the bed

Oh, It’s drowning in lonely and burns with regret
But it ain’t full of fire like that preacher man said
No it’s cold and empty as your side of the bed

Well I told God I’d be lost without you
So, He can’t be surprised I’m feeling this way
If it’s part of His plan, well it’s hard to tell cause
If I’m not in hell I’m headed that way
If I’m not in hell I’m headed that way
