Erin Enderlin “Coat of Many Colors” (cover)

After kayaking, hiking, and a nice dinner in Lake Tahoe, I decided to try some ‪@DollyParton‬ “Coat of Many Colors” and I got so close😂 Dolly is such a genius. Her phrasing, structure, and melodies are pure magic. This song is the perfect example to me that there really are no rules in songwriting, if it works it works. Dolly wrote a story close to her heart in the way she felt it and it’s one of the greatest songs of all time. Would love to hear your thoughts on the writing in this song and other great story songs I should check out 💕🦋
