TRACK 3: Song About a City
💚Fun Facts💚
When I started this song, it was sadder and slower (big surprise). Once I found the chords I wanted for the chorus and the back half of the chorus melody (“wish I could write a song about a *city*) the feel changed but I was so stuck lyrically. I often think of a clever lyrical idea and then get trapped by it. This happened to me with “All The Beds I’ve Made,” and just like I took that song to a trusted friend to help finish (Stephanie Lambring who put out great new song last week) I brought this song to my friend Ashley Ray (who put out a great new song today) and she helped me unlock it.
