Lyrics:
I’m alone in the lone star tonight
I’ve got nobody to hold me tight
I’m sitting here wishing
I could get some kissing
Find me someone… to stay by my side

Everything’s bigger in Texas it’s true—
That includes heartache too
That bluebonnet moon shines bright
Ain’t no love for me in sight
I’m alone in the lone star tonight

Riding down that dark Chisholm Trail
I’m lonesome as an old coyote’s wail
From Fort Worth down to Brady
Nobody wants to date me
No matter how I try I only fail

Everyone’s got someone to take around
I can’t even get arrested in this town
Ordering Tex Mex for one
Isn’t any fun
I’m alone in the Lone Star tonight
