“Get Out and Get It” is drenched in 70’s psychedelic-funk and Afrobeat. I was going to the past for inspiration. Then I met Tresor in Johannesburg, and I knew that I wanted to incorporate the new sound of Afrobeat and African music into my art. Tresor took GOAGI into the future with the pulse and backbeat of the song, but also incorporated such a classic taste (damn I love those strings!). I’m so in love with where this song has gone and I hope y’all dig it too.
