TRACK 8: Wait on the Wine
💚Fun Facts💚
I wrote this song years ago, imagining a big-voiced country lady singing it (Carrie, Miranda, honestly Carly Pearce would crush this song, sup girl). That was the prompt I gave myself but then I could hardly even sing the worktape. It’s basically at the bottom and top of my vocal range. When I was picking out songs for this record, I remembered this one and sat down to do it and found I could sing it. The voice is a muscle, y’all, keep singing!
-The end section of this is probably the proudest 30 seconds of my career?
-I got nervous butterflies every single night on tour this past year before that big note.
