Erin Enderlin – Amie (Damien Rice cover)

Erin Enderlin – Amie (Damien Rice Cover)

Theme song to my little sad emo self, watching X-Files and drinking coffee in midnight cafes, thinking of “what might’ve been?” Whatever that is… I got on a Damien Rice kick a couple months ago and forgot I recorded this. I’m not sure what the actual story behind the song is – but for me my sister’s name is Amy and I graduated high school in 2000 – this song always brings back the innocence of childhood, the feeling that once I was an adult so many things would change, and the realization that perhaps the loss of that hopefulness can be what hurts the most.
