LYRICS
Written by: Kelsey Waldon
Vocals: Kelsey Waldon

Took a little run on a red trail getaway
Let it take me where it wants to let me go
Black snake crawlin through the soy beans, summertime
It's hotter than a child should ever know
Like a cypress changin' colors, one after another
Like the green turns into the bronze
Only here for a moment then we're gone
White noise and white lines, County Road 1029
Let your mind free, and dream on
Only here for a moment then we're gone
The sun and the moon, they've been out dancin'
Makes me feel like I wanna carry on
Chickasaw man got a buffalo-skin drum
Singin' songs about being far from home
Listen to the drums play, listen to what that man say Feels like a long journey you're takin' on,
But you're only here for a moment then you're gone
White noise and white lines, County Road 1029
Let your mind free, and dream on
Only here for a moment then we're gone
Only here for a moment then were gone
Only here for a moment then we're gone

With four critically-acclaimed albums under her belt, Kelsey Waldon has forged a strong presence in the Country and Americana scene. Her uncut lyricism and natural country sensibility recall her upbringing in Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky. After moving to Nashville, she cultivated a loyal following through frequent touring across the U.S. and two critically acclaimed albums. Her persistence paid off when, on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, John Prine invited Kelsey to join his Oh Boy Records family. In 2019, Kelsey released White Noise / White Lines on Prine's Oh Boy Records. An unflinching work that details Waldon's life, hopes, and pains, the album earned her a nomination for the Emerging Act of the Year Award at the 2020 Americana Awards.
