LYRICS
I don’t wanna be
the salt in the sugar
The fruit that is bitter
You expected to be
So sweet

I don’t want to be
the fly in the honey
A gray month of Sundays
Life can already be
So bleak

Keep it funny
Keep it light
Be the toast of a Friday night
At 21 with time to kill

But now I’m 23
My friends moved to new cities
And lately life
Has been a buzzkill

I don’t wanna be
the guy at the party
Who makes you sorry
You decided to go
Oh no

The unaware
Self-loathing type
Who talks about himself all night
So I just go home

Can’t keep it funny
Or keep it light
I used to be so good at the good times
At 21 man what a thrill

But now I’m 25
And I’m still barely scraping by
So baby I have been a buzzkill

Nobody cares
What you do
Half as much as you
Nobody cares
What you do
Half as much as you
Nobody cares
What you do
Half as much as you
Nobody cares

Life sucks
Then life’s alright
I don’t sink as low
I don’t get as high
I’m learning how to be still

I can go out or stay in
I’m more myself
Than I’ve ever been
And sometimes I’m still chasing thrills
And sometimes I can be a buzzkill
