Maybe by Christmas
K. Armstrong/J. Bostic

Wherever I look, wherever I turn
There’s so much anger, so much hurt
I keep holdin’ my head up, tryin’ to be strong
Maybe by Christmas, we’ll all get along

I open the paper, turn on the news
Even on the radio everybody’s singin’ the blues
When will the sun shine, hope it wont be long
Maybe by Christmas, we’ll get along

Maybe when the city starts to shine like gold
Maybe when the bells ring, Maybe when it snows
Maybe when the choir starts singin’ silent night
Oh maybe then, we’ll get it right

Lookin’ for peace, searchin’ for hope
Can’t find the love, anywhere I go
From New Year to November, we’ve been gettin’ it wrong
Maybe by Christmas, we’ll get along

Maybe when the city starts to shine like gold
Maybe when the bells ring, Maybe when it snows
Maybe when the choir starts singin’ silent night
Oh maybe then, we’ll get it right

Love on your neighbor, lend a helpin’ hand
Can’t change the whole world, but do what you can
You wont wake up one, and find the hurtin’ is gone
But maybe by Christmas, we’ll get along
Maybe by Christmas, we’ll get along
